I'm back to considering a "3G dongle" for Being Away From Home.
Last week I looked in a few phone shops.
Currently O2 PAYG looks interesting.
£30 for the dongle then £2/day or £7.50/week or £15/month IIRC
with a download limit but with "unlimited wifi" via such as the
"we say free wifi but we may pay The Cloud a fortue" at MacDonalds.

Good for not missing crap online games over Xmasen and sad sad posts from the middle of events!
Plus the work emails when Away.

So £30 down and then use as you choose - what ripoff am I missing?

I've got a 3 dongle on the 15quid a month and use it as my main home net connection, and I'm generally v happy with it. I'll be finding out over xmas how mobile it is, but on a good day it runs fast enough to play WoW. :-)

I got 3G on my phone with O2 and it's unlimited usage (some mention of abuse policy). It is effectively a £7.50 per month option.

I have played WoW through it without problem, even on a train (though that did lag and drop a few times).

I don't get Wifi in that package.
