While watch the news about the world leaders admitting "we're fucked with global warming and we need to do stuff NOW!" I was please, but there seems to be complaint from Business that it will need to pay lots for licences to generate carbon. This seems insane, like carbon trading, which appears to be where you pay other people not to shag so you won't get pregnant.
We cleary DON'T want these carbon generating enterprises to charge us for having to pollute the planet, we want them to NOT DO IT.
And I have the solution, brethren, a New Britsh Craftsmanship Empire.
In this Empire all products must be manufactured for longevity.
Cars should be designed to last as long as possible, thus reducing the number needed to be made.
(Start with positive-fucking-earth, eh?, you metal rotting bastards!!)
Everything that can be should be designed to be minimally upgradable for new advances in technology. And thus to be repairable! It would appear to cost more but would be cheap cos you buy them less often.
e.g. washing machines...
