Work has been erratic. January was fortunately busy and generated good revenue. The busy did extend the December period of "worse than usual" lifestyle, with little going out at all, just huddling under duvets where it is warm and snuggling, eating MEAT and only sneaking out to the shops for food by car. February has been 'quiet' but I'm okay with that. Work gets in the way of sleeping and other projects! Although I have been going to the shops and stuff using the walking and when there buying plant matter, for which I am virtuously smug.

Last Saturday and today I have done gardening.
That is to say I have dug my brush cutter out of the garage, found it still did work oafter a year 'resting' and dispensed petrol powered devastation to the dragon's nest of brambles that has encrusted the area once called the lawn.
This was mainly so man-next-door can do fence repairing, but it go me started so maybe I'll try and get my act together to do some major clearance. In the good weather there is nothing nicer than having a two stroke engine squawking away by your right kidney fir an hour or so.

Tonight was band practice. This seems to have moved fro Tues-maybes-Thurs to a regular Monday.
The last two weeks we have worked mainly on Children of the Grave (by Black Sabbath) which I may have heard subliminally but had to go off and study. We have managed to get to "not blatently rough" with it. Like Lord Eric of Morecombe I can plan all the right riffs, just not necessarily in the right order.
We have also been trying See My Baby Jive (by Wizzard). The bass player knows the song and our baby faced (mid 30s) drummer knows of it. He's go and listened to it and is trying to find the actual rythmn under the wall of sound production. He gets to play one ot eh sax parts as well. We've sent off for extra arms.
I acquired the sheet music for the choon off eBay for a meare 25 times the original selling price. Fortunatle that was 20p back in 1973. I have many bits of sheet music from that period and several by Wizzard but not that one. There are a few tabs on the net but they don't come close to the actual. Watching Woody on some youtube clips of recent performances he may actually have been playing those chords as well! Not sure if he really is playing Em7 rather than G but I'm going with the Em7.

On Saturday evening I was sat at this very keyboard when I thought I heard the roof fall off the house. I dashed outside to look. It appeared not to have. I returned inside to find that a 4 to 5 foot diamater section of the living room ceiling had casually decided to just drop of. My initial fear was for some of my guitars which had been stood underneath ground zero, however some surrounding speaker cabinets see to have changed the drop of the plaster and while I had to wipe dust off them neither my SUperYod nor my litle Les Paul were actually damaged. (the LP needs a new top E).
The first stage or getting the ceiling fixed will be finally sorting the back bedroom ceiling so that I can shift loads of stuff into that room to make room for shifting all the stuff from the front living room zone. It's a though lounge conversion but there is a wall rememnant such that there are two separate ceilings for the front and back halves of the room.

ION: I still have two parents. My dad is now mostly staying in bed and very weak. They have carers/nurses twice a day. He could last days or years like that I suppose. I don't know which is best.
