Well, the Mayday bank holiday was certainly a turnaround from Easter, although technically neither had preciptiation and both had clear blue skies. Just a 20 degree difference in temperatures!
It had still been cold at night leading up. I didn't think it was cold at night but I have a good bed and duvets.

Thursday is usually the day I treasure because it is the day I see most people. Which I did and they were lovely. And I saw serveral others as the even passed, which is good. One of the advantages of working in and around thge Monster Room is that a lot of people come through there.

It felt a busy event because we had an "off shift" rota and I used mine to not get up early and didn't squander it with going IC. Not that I don't like going IC but I'd rather be comfortable with sleep that rushed about and tired.

One of the changes from an LT Staff POV is that the old catering team have retired and Andy has bought new kitchen Things. I was a bit wary of it all at first but the self serve cafeteria style system works well. Too well is some ways, I may even have to learn to moderate my plate loading, although there seemed plently for all. Their learning curve too, probably.
While the Holy Trifle has gone I am apparently fickle and easily sold out to assorted cheesecakes with cream. The new furniture seems good as well. Normalli I dread the tables-with-benches system but they were ... sufficient for the full figured. By which I mean me and Kren!
Special note to mark the re-appearance of the lovely Mrs Kren.

On Sunday night Plot Actuation became Cake Actuation courtesy of Mr King followed by potato, parsnip and yorksire pud Actuation courtesy of "Mrs Pink". So much cake that having some became Non-Optional without a good excuse (which such as Gwen had :-( ).

The best part of an event, in my simple world, is packing a dry tent.
